A driver ran away after his car crashed into a utility pole in Devonshire today.

The vehicle was in the eastbound lane of South Road, east of Brimstone Hill, at about 6pm, when the incident happened.

At 7pm, Belco was working to restore power in the area.

Witnesses should call police on 295-0011.
