Caines lauds PLP’s IT efforts
Minister of National Security Wayne Caines hosted an information session to discuss the way forward for the government’s Information Technology, infrastructure and cybersecurity strategy.
Mr Caines, who described the meeting as “productive and instructive” gave a presentation along with members of the Department of Information and Digital Technologies.
The meeting took place at the Department’s Southside location and saw members of staff convene for the strategic session.
Mr Caines said: “We have indicated that we intend to be an innovative, creative and forward-thinking Government.
“Over the last year, the public has seen the strides we’ve made and the success we’ve had in the area of fintech. Last week’s meeting with IDT is a natural part of our work and progress.
“I was honoured to participate in a such a successful strategic planning session with this Government department which will help to shape the future of IT for the Bermuda Government. Last week’s engagement with the subject matter experts and innovative minds will help us achieve that goal.”
