A car flipped over in a crash in Smith’s yesterday.

A police spokesman said that the crash was reported just before 10am but that no one was injured.

The car, driven by a 19-year-old woman, overturned after it hit an oil patch on the road.

The spokesman added: “Works and Engineering has been informed of the oil patch and they will attend to assess the extent of the oil spill.”

Motorists in the area were asked to drive with caution or use an alternative route.
