Upgraded security at Post Office
Updated: Aug 06, 2018 02:57 PM
Increased security measures are to be implemented at the General Post Office this month.
Beginning on August 20, after-hours access to the mailbox area will be by keypad access and will require mailbox users to have a five-digit personal identification number.
The after-hours access will only be available via the western Church Street entrance between 6pm and 7am.
Customers are asked to visit the GPO customer service area before August 20 to receive their PIN. Valid identification will be required.
People collecting a PIN on behalf of someone else must have a letter of authorisation from the primary box holder in additional to valid ID.
