Back to School event at College
Community groups will host a back to school event to help empower students and their families.
The Back 2 School Gathering will include a free dinner, along with a series of interactive playshops at the Bermuda College Student Hall.
Among the playshops are:
• Finding that Math can be Fun, led by the Bda Council of the Teachers of Math,
• Seven Habits of Effective Families, led by Martha Kirkland of Franklin-Covey Bermuda,
• Engaging Your Scholars, led by Anthony Peets, guidance counsellor,
• Eight Keys to Excellence, led by Nicola Paugh, learning facilitator for the Mirrors Programme.
The event is being organised through a collaboration between the Bermuda College, Bermuda Library, the Bermuda Sloop Foundation, the Bermuda Chess Association, the Family Centre, Imagine Bermuda, Mirrors, the Bermuda National Trust, the Reading Clinic and staff from both public and private schools.
• The Back 2 School Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 6 from 5.30pm to 7pm.
