A sand sculpture of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr was created on Elbow Beach over the weekend.
Hannah Strang, the organiser of the annual Bermuda Sand Castle Competition, created the sculpture.
Ms Strang said it was created to honour Dr King, the leader of the US Civil Rights Movement, for Martin Luther King Jr Day, recognised today.
She added: “The sculpture itself will last only a day or two, but the pictures and memories can live for ever.”
Dr King was murdered in Memphis, Tennessee, in April 1968 by a white extremist.
