A “well-known” 55-year-old man has been arrested after an assault recorded on video.

A police spokesman said: “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm that the woman in the car who was apparently assaulted by a well-known male member of our community on a pedal cycle — captured in a video which went viral on social media last week — has made an official report regarding the incident.

The spokesman added: “The 55-year-old man involved was later arrested and the necessary next steps are being taken.”
