Smith’s man hurt in bike crash

A motorcyclist is in stable condition today after suffering head injuries in a serious crash with a car.
The victim, a 24-year-old man from Smith’s, was recovering on a general ward in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the incident in Flatts on Sunday at about 8pm.
Police said that the driver of the car, an 81-year-old St George’s man, was travelling on Middle Road when he attempted to turn onto Harrington Sound Road.
He then struck the motorcyclist, who was travelling in the opposite direction along Middle Road.
Neither the driver of the car nor the passenger, an 83-year-old woman from Smith’s, were hurt.
