Overhead wires brought down by a tractor trailer truck in Paget this afternoon have been repaired, police said.

A police spokesman added that officers were no longer directing traffic at the junction of Middle Road and South Road.

He said: “The traffic lights, which were temporarily out of order following the incident, are now back in operation. “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the motoring public for their patience and co-operation while the necessary repairs were made by Belco personnel and other relevant technicians.”

No injuries were reported.
