Premier hands out free Banton tickets
The Premier today handed out free tickets to Unity Festival Bermuda to members of the public.
David Burt presented tickets to five people who used social media to nominate someone who they felt deserved a free ticket to tonight’s concert featuring reggae superstar Buju Banton.
One of those given a ticket was Daryl Hinkson.
Mr Hinkson’s wife, Kamaria, wanted a ticket for her husband because he was a “selfless individual always putting his family before himself”.
She added, “Everything he does is for us. I would like to let him know I think of him and want him to have a spectacular time.”
Mr Burt also gave Ms Hinkson a ticket so that she could accompany her husband to the concert.
Other winners were Kennisha Young, a 45-year-old public health student, Khamini Shrinarine, a mother of three, and Angela Simmons who was nominated by her employer.
Mr Burt thanked the concert organisers “for giving back to the community and congratulations to all of their hard working team”.
Wayne Furbert, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, presented a ticket to Hamilton Parish resident Lakae Tavares on Thursday.
