Paint night to help autism charity

This will be no ordinary Sip & Paint – Tomorrow’s Voices is hosting the island’s largest paint night in an effort to raise funds for its Autism Early Intervention Centre. The Great Sip & Paint event is set to take place on Sunday, September 29 at the Bermuda Society of Arts on the 3rd floor of City Hall.

With over 100 guests all creating artwork for a great cause the night is set to be epic. Along with painting, tunes from DJ Sounds will have you rocking in your seat as you create your masterpieces. There will also be an artist on hand to help get the creative juices flowing and the theme will be around Autism. The night also includes dinner and two drinks, as well as Sun Kissed Henna station. All proceeds benefit the Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Centre and the families it supports. The event will help to raise funds for Tomorrow’s Voices’ much-needed Centre and services, as well as to broaden awareness of the autism spectrum and other developmental challenges that are increasingly affecting families in Bermuda.

Tomorrow’s Voices board chairwoman, Thea Furbert, said: “We hope that people will come out with their friends to enjoy a really fun night. You don’t have to be an artist to participate and have a good time – all skill levels are welcome! This evening will be an entertaining way to support a great charity. All proceeds from this event will go towards Tomorrow’s Voices providing services to those touched by autism and other developmental disabilities.”

Get your friends together for a night of fun and painting for a great cause! Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. with painting taking place from 6-9 p.m. Tickets cost $75 or patron tables of 10 can be purchased for $1,000.

The night would not be possible without the support of sponsors MUFG, Belco, Aspen, A.F. Smith, Burrows Lightbourn and Barrits. Tickets are available from www.tomorrowsvoices.bm, bdatix.bm or by calling Tomorrow’s Voices at 297-4342.
