Families invited to Touch-A-Truck

On Sunday, September 29th, MAMA (Meet-A-Mum-Association) will host Bermuda’s first Touch-A-Truck event in Bernard’s Park from 11 am to 3 pm. At Touch-A-Truck children and families can spend the afternoon exploring all kinds of automobiles from emergency vehicles to big construction trucks.

MAMA has partnered with local companies and government organizations such as Island Construction, St John’s Ambulance, Bermuda Police Service and the Ministry of Tourism and Transport to showcase a wide variety of cars and trucks so kids of all ages can see, touch and learn about the many vehicles that help our community.

The event will also feature some of Bermuda’s well know food vendors; Winky Dinky Dog, Ashley’s Lemonade, Frosty Ice Cream Truck and Four Star. A small donation of $5 per person entrance fee is recommended with all proceeds will go directly to The Family Centre and The Bermuda School of Music’s Every Kid Can Initiative.

“We are very excited to put on this event in support of our two selected charities. Touch-A-Truck represents what MAMA is all about – helping to promote happy, healthy families in our community – and having a bit of fun.” said Rebekah Nebard, Social Chair of MAMA. “We are grateful to all our business partners and volunteers that are helping to put this event on and we welcome everyone to stop by on Sunday and see some cool tricks and help support our community.”
