The 2019 lifeguard season came to a close this week.

The Ministry of Public Works said that park rangers would patrol the South Shore parks and beaches but there would be no static stations until next year’s season begins in April.

A ministry spokeswoman added: “All persons using public beaches and entering the water are urged to adhere to all posted signs and use the utmost care and caution.

“The ministry extends its thanks and appreciation to the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, Bermuda Hospitals Board, Bermuda Maritime Operations and the Bermuda Police Service for their support.”
