Pupils to decorate City tree
The City of Hamilton announces that students from Dellwood Middle School and Mount St. Agnes along with preschoolers from Flying Start Nursery School and Onion Patch Academy will join forces in a tree decorating event at the corner of Court and Dundonald Streets in Dr. E.F. Gordon Square on Friday, December 6th at 9:00am.
This is the fourth year that the City has invited students to be a part of the tree decorating. Liz Tatem, owner of Flying Start Nursery School said of the event, “I’m excited and glad to be a part of this event and I know the kids will love it.”
Mayor Charles Gosling added, ‘The festive season is well underway and the City has been adorned with its barrage of Christmas lights. The decorating of the North Hamilton tree is a wonderful way to bring some of the neighbouring schools together to join my council and me. More hands make light work and I’m delighted that we can keep this tradition going.”
An estimated fifty students and preschoolers will join the City Council on Friday morning, bringing the spirit of the holidays to the retailers and residents of North Hamilton.
