The owner of a property on Peat Lane in Pembroke, where armed police attended on Sunday in the wake of a shooting on nearby Field View Lane, was found to have “no involvement in this matter”, according to Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley.

Mr Corbishley spoke after photographs of the officers at the residence, with “inaccurate and offensive social media comments”, continued to circulate on platforms such as Facebook.

Police checked the area because of information suggesting the offenders had fled in the direction of the property — but Mr Corbishley said the online posts were “wholly inaccurate and I therefore make this release to correct the facts of this matter”.
