The threat of falling debris has prompted the immediate closure of a section of the Railway Trail along Ferry Reach, the Ministry of Public Works announced.

A stretch of the trail in the area of Anchorage View Road in St George’s was temporarily declared off-limits to the public for safety reasons.

Barriers and signs are in place, a ministry spokesman said, and will remain until an assessment and remediation are finished, with updates to be provided.

The ministry apologised for any inconvenience.
