Bermuda entrant wins flower contest
Floral artist Nicky Gurret received first place in her class at the World Association Flower Artists (WAFA) show in Jaipur, India. Ms Gurret said, « I am thrilled to receive first place and acknowledged on the world stage as one of the best Floral Artist in the world, especially in India where floral art is celebrated everywhere. » Ms Gurret competed in one of 29 classes and won first place in her imposed class. Second was Juliet Leonard from New Zealand and third was The title of the show is Grand Floral Affair - a World Flower Show & International Seminar - is a tri-annual event by the World Association of Floral Artists (WAFA). It was hosted in the « Pink » city of Jaipur in India.
Camille Chin- Gurret entered the craft class where all the three top winners news were from India.
The five day floral art show WAFA saw 28 countries competing. The next show will take place in New Zealand in 2023.
