Art for art’s sake promoted on Zoom app
The Bermuda National Gallery has turned to the internet to continue its mission to bring art to the public over the Covid-19 lockdown.
A spokesman said the gallery would host a talk by Bryan Ritchie, the 2020 Bermuda biennial artist, through the Zoom app tomorrow night.
Mr Ritchie will give viewers an overview of his work and the concepts behind his art.
The spokesman said: “Bryan Ritchie is an engaging artist whose work focuses primarily on drawing and lithography.
“He has exhibited extensively in Bermuda, Canada and the United States and his work has been included in five Bermuda Biennials.
“He is currently a Professor of Art in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he recently concluded an additional role as department chairman.”
