A Royal Bermuda Regiment firearms training exercise was the source of gunshots reported at the weekend, police said yesterday.

A police spokesman said officers were told two gunshots were heard near the Marley Beach area of Warwick on Saturday morning.

It was later discovered that the RBR had carried out firearms training on the range at Warwick Camp around the time the report was made.
