Princess quiz will go online
Hamilton Princess & Beach Club are taking their famous Crown & Anchor Quiz Nights with Quiz Master, Mike Bishop, online.
The hour-long event will take place each week on Mondays at 7:45pm on Zoom and will see up to 100 participants taking part in the fun pub game. Contestants take part in six themed rounds of the pub quiz, which will be supplemented through the use of online media, such as videos, songs and audio clips, which would not be available in person. There will be prizes awarded throughout the hour-long event, including dinner for two at Marcus’ once the hotel reopens.
The public can compete on their own screen or share with a team from their household. Each team is advised to have a pen and paper to hand. The event is free to all but for those who would like to show their support, there will be a link to a local charity where donations can be made instead.
Participants must register in advance to take part in the quiz by emailing BermudaMagician@Hotmail.com by noon on Monday. They will then be sent a link to the Zoom meeting room which will go live at 7:30pm on each Monday for the next few weeks. There is a maximum capacity of 100 guests, so it will be first come first served.
Mike Bishop said: “I can’t wait to bring our Crown & Anchor quiz nights to a new medium! The new online format will mean that it can be more fun and engaging than ever and I think it’s a great way to break up the boredom that a lot of people are feeling right now and to get some social interaction.”
Tim Morrison, General Manager at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said: “We are excited to be bringing back the classic Crown & Anchor Quiz Nights, which has a huge following, with a new twist. We hope that this tides everyone over until we can welcome everyone back to Hamilton Princess & Beach Club to enjoy their favourite cocktails.”
