Buy Bermuda to help restaurant staff

Bermuda Visitor Services Centres are inviting the community to join “Purchase with a Purpose”—a campaign to share island pride while making a difference.

The effort encourages individuals, families and businesses to purchase official Bermuda merchandise and share their #BermyPride on social media. Part proceeds of all purchases will be donated to “Serving the Servers,” a relief project organised by the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce to support struggling restaurant workers through the pandemic.

“We’re excited to contribute to this important initiative through a campaign we hope will also help showcase our true Bermy spirit through tough times,” said Jakai Franks, Manager of Operations, Bermuda Visitor Services Centres (BVSCs).

Since the campaign’s launch May 22, BVSCs have recorded a total of $2,100 in Bermuda merchandise sales, with $530 raised to date for Serving the Servers.

“Our fundraising target for hospitality workers is $5,000,” said Franks, “so we’re inviting residents to join us in reaching that goal by showcasing national spirit to help this deserving industry sector.”

Products include custom Bermuda S’well bottles, Bermuda beach towels, Bermuda tote bags, Bermuda journals and magnet sets, “Ace Girl” & “Ace Boy” t-shirts, men’s and women’s Bermuda logo t-shirts and baseball caps, and unisex long-sleeve hoodies.

All merchandise orders can be placed by emailing VSCinfo@bermudatourism.com or by calling the Hamilton Visitor Services Centre Monday–Thursday, 10am–4pm at 261-2872. Orders will be ready on the next business day via kerbside pickup at the Front Street venue. Delivery is available for bulk orders.
