No new Covid-19 cases in 270 results

No new Covid-19 cases were recorded today after 270 test results came back to the health ministry.

The news meant that the number of confirmed cases stayed at 150.

There are four active cases monitored by public health officials with none requiring hospital care.

There have been nine deaths linked to the disease and 137 people have recovered.

The average age of cases was 60 and the age range was 18 to 101.

The average age for the fatal cases was 74 and the age range was 57 to 91.

A total of 85 of the cases were on-island transmissions with a known contact and 16 cases were contracted on-island with an unknown contact.

The number of cases that came in from abroad is 46.

The source of three infections is under investigation.

Bermuda’s country status was “sporadic cases” and the seven-day average of the real time reproduction number was below 1.
