A serious crash in Pembroke caused traffic diversions along North Shore Road this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that a motorcyclist was travelling west near Langton Hill at around 11.35am when he was in collision with a car.
The crash happened as the driver tried to make a right-hand turn into a private drive near the C-Mart convenience store.
The motorcyclist was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with serious face and leg injuries.
Traffic had been diverted at Blackwatch Pass roundabout and Berkeley Hill Road for about three and a half hours as police experts examined the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
