Emergency services were pulled from the roads this morning as the expected Hurricane Paulette moved closer to Bermuda.
The Emergency Measure Organisation said it had moved to “red status” - no emergency vehicles to move over the height of the storm - at 12.30am.
The services earlier went to “amber status”, which meant only emergencies would be responded to.
A Government spokeswoman said: “The public is reminded to stay indoors and not to move around outside.”
