@$:BYLINE-FRANK:By KYLEHUNTERSports EditorBODY-FRANK:BYSunday night Bermuda will know who the four players that will be coming to this year's PGAGrand Slam of Golf at Mid Ocean Club. BODY-FRANK-2:Right now Masters winner Trevor Immelman and Open victor Padraig Harrington have booked their tickets to the October 36-hole event. This year's USOpen winner Tiger Woods will again not be coming as he is recovering from knee surgery. The last major of the year, the PGAChampionship, started yesterday and with the winner being known on Sunday evening the fourth spot ¿ the replacement for Woods ¿ will also be known.David Ezekiel, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf general chairman said this week: "There are a number of players who could win it. But I must admit I think Vijay Singh has a good chance especially after his victory last weekend at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. I guess four or five players must have thought they gave it away last weekend and that includes Phil Mickelson who finished badly."Fijian Singh overcame an erratic display with his putter to clinch victory on Sunday while Mickelson was close to his best before fading over the closing holes. In the absence of injured American world number one Tiger Woods, the defending champion, Singh and Mickelson are among the leading contenders for the fourth and final major of the year.American left-hander Mickelson, winner of the 2005 title at Baltusrol, has been listed by British bookmakers William Hill as the tournament favourite at 10/1 while Singh, champion at Sahalee in 1998 and at Whistling Straits in 2004, is one of five players backed at 20/1.Ezekiel said: "I think Phil may struggle this weekend if he doesn't drive it straight. However Lee Westwood looked solid ¿ he also looks in a lot better physical shape and he is a good driver of the ball which is a must (at the tough Oakland Hills Country Club layout)."The Mid Ocean captain added: "It is nice to see Vijay looking good ¿ and Retief Goosen looks solid as well. I also think that (Miguel) Jimenez has caught the eye. He is really playing well. "In the PGAyou have to keep the ball on the fairway ¿ the rough is very difficult and I think Phil will struggle a little bit."Of Harrington's successful defence of the Open title this summer, Ezekiel said: "I was very happy with that. He was fantastic with the fans here last year during the Grand Slam and we are very happy to have him back."Ironically during the first two days of the PGAChampionship Harrington is in the same group as Immelman as well as the winner of last year's PGAGrand Slam of Golf at Mid Ocean Argentina's Angel Cabrera who won the 2007 USOpen."We will know who will fill the third spot (on Sunday) but also who will fill the fourth spot because the (Grand Slam) table will be completed and the invitations will go out in the order of the people on the table. We will have to see who will accept," added Ezekiel. The Grand Slam of Golf will be played at Mid Ocean from October 13-15 and will be shown around the world on TNT.Of all the majors in recent times, the PGA attracts the strongest field and yet has been the most likely to throw up a surprise winner. The championship was won in consecutive years by unheralded Americans Rich Beem (2002) and Shaun Micheel, underlining that any player is capable of victory if his game is on song.Whoever ends up lifting the prized Wanamaker Trophy on Sunday will have coped best with one of golf's toughest challenges.Masters winner Immelman said this week that he has set his sights on delivering four consistent rounds after a season of fluctuating form.In April the 28-year-old became the first South African to triumph at Augusta National since Gary Player in 1978 but he has also missed seven cuts in 17 starts on the 2008 PGA Tour."I need to try and find a bit more consistency for me to really feel like I can compete when the gun goes off," Immelman told reporters at Oakland Hills Country Club on Tuesday. "My game is kind of coming and going right now."
