Bromby up to third at Worlds

Bermuda's Peter Bromby moved into third position at the Star Class World Championships yesterday in Gaeta, Italy.

In the day's lone race, the Bermudian posted a fourth place finish to move onto 23 points from three races.

He is still some way off leader Freddy Loof of Sweden who has 11 points and Brazil's Torben Grael who is second on 14 points.

Iain Percy of the UK won yesterday's race and is now fourth on 24 points - just one behind Bromby who is competing with crew Lee White.

Meanwhile, Laser competitor Zander Kirkland is 92nd out of 159 sailors after seven races (one drop) at France's Olympic Sailing Week in Hyeres.

The Bermudian has 111 points with one race remaining, having placed 17th and eighth in his most recent races.
