Herring on London high

Bermuda's Matthew Herring achieved an impressive second place finish in the sprint category of the London Triathlon over the weekend.

Herring, who is building up to the World Championships in Cancun, Mexico, came home in one hour, 13 minutes and 19 seconds, just behind Bob Smith who was first in 1:11.15.

There were more than 400 entrants in the event, which is run over half the distance of a traditional triathlon.

In the male Olympic 17 to 24 year-old category, Jonathan Herring finished tenth in 2:30.08.

In the female sprint, Page Grundmuller was 17th in 1:27.33.
