Island teams up for the Cup

The FA Cup?s kicks off next Sunday with seven first-round matches at central locations.Both BAA Field, St. John?s Field and Devonshire Rec will host two matches each. At the latter ground, Valley face Paget at 1 p.m. and Devonshire Cougars meet Wolves at 3 p.m. while BAA host North Village in the early match before Boulevard take on Robin Hood. Ireland Rangers oppose Key West Rangers at St. John?s Field at 1 p.m. while Dandy Town will try to arrest the Prison Officers at 3 p.m. In the day?s other game, Tuff Dogs and M.R. Onions will do battle at Police Field at 1 p.m. Prospect will not be in action as they have a bye.

The second half of the first round will be played on January 18 but there?s some uncertainty about the line-up of matches since Social Club have withdrawn from competitive football. They were scheduled to play Somerset Trojans who lynched them 20-0 last Sunday in a First Division fixture.
