James still out in front

After carding a 78 at Port Royal yesterday, Aaron James, playing in the 15-17 age division, holds a three-stroke lead over his nearest rival, Fraser Hunt, going into today's final round of the Atlantic International Junior Golf Championship.

Hunt returned a 79 to stay in touch before play shifts to Mid Ocean Club for the final round today. A further two shots back is Jarryd Dillas, who moved into contention with a round of 74.

Chris Smith continues to lead in the 18-21 age group, his round of 79 keeping him four ahead of Canadian Aaron Schenk, who also carded a 79.

Shane Kelly's six stroke lead in the 13-14 age division was cut in half when he carded an 81 and his closest rival, Andrew Osbourne, recorded 78.

Nick Jones further distanced himself from the other competitors in the 11-12 age group, his round of 80 putting him seven strokes clear of Mark Phillips, who carded an 82.

The girls' 15-17 age group has heated up with Laura Robinson going around in 77, turning a five stroke deficit into a one stroke advantage over Ebonie Burgess, who fired 83 yesterday.

Josh Cabrera remained in front among the 10 and under division with a nine-hole round of 46.
