The Highland Spring Junior Tennis Tournament, held at the Pomander Gate Tennis Club, began on Monday.

Boys and girls have been playing throughout the week in all age groups with the Boys 10 & under category gaining the largest entry. In this category, Mustafa Ingham upset third seed Billy Boyle to reach the semi-finals.

Fourth seed Andrew Forgesson has played brilliantly throughout the tournament, earning himself a semi-final berth in both the Boys 10 & under and Boys 12 & under categories.

In the Boys 14 & under age group, number one seed Alex Cooper will play second seed Matteo Frazzoni.

There are only three players in the Boys 18 & under category and round robin matches have been taking place between Andrew Burnett-Herkes, Na?im Azhar and David Thomas.

The 12 & under girls have also been playing in a round robin, between Zaire Simons, Ciara Svensen and Sarah Maybury.

Several finals have been scheduled for today and will include boys 10 & 12 singles, mixed doubles and boys and girls 14 & under doubles. Finals begin at 10.00 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

The prize presentation takes place at 4:30 p.m. at Pomander Gate Tennis Club. All participants are invited to attend.
