Ladies hockey team in Games warm-up
Bermuda's national ladies' hockey team, currently preparing for this month's CAC Games in the Dominican Republic, will get the ideal warm-up this weekend when they play in a round-robin tournament against overseas and local opposition at the National Sport Centre's artificial pitch.
The two-day competition will also feature the Big Apple Hockey Flickers from New York and a Bermuda Ladies' Federation Select, made up of the best local players not eligible for the national team.
Bermuda open their campaign against the Flickers at 10.00 tomorrow morning and meet the Federation side at 3 p.m.. On Sunday they play the Federation Select again at 12 noon and take on the Flickers at 3 p.m.
The national side leave on July 18 for the Dominican Republic where the CAC tournament begins that week, while the rest of the Games take place in Colombia.
