Moulder strikes in win

Chris Moulder's first-half strike set Bournemouth's youth team on their way to victory in their last match.

The Bermudian, who was snapped up by the English Second Division soccer side after impressing for the Island's Under-17s, opened the scoring against Cirencester.

Moulder, who has been converted from a defender to a striker by Cherries' youth team coach Joe Roach, netted on the stroke of half-time in the 2-1 win.

He was expected to be in the squad that travelled to Bristol Rovers today.

Meanwhile, Harrisburg Heat midfielder David Bascome was one of three players voted to the 2002 Major Indoor Soccer League All-Star Game.

League media representatives and club executives participated in the voting, which concluded last Sunday.

Bascome, who will be playing in his second consecutive midseason classic and fourth overall, leads the Heat and ranks 12th in the league in scoring with 19 goals and 45 points coming into the weekend.

The 31-year old Bermudian is the Heat's all-time leader in total goals with 317 and total points with 779.
