Pitt treble puts Paget in seventh heaven
A Yusef Pitt hat-trick and a brace from Dion Stovell propelled Paget Lions to a lopsided win over fast-fading X Roads in First Division action at Garrison Field yesterday.
Moving to within a single point of idle leaders St.David?s to keep things tight atop the standings, Paget made light work of their hosts in their own back yard.
Stovell fired Lions ahead for good after 15 minutes before Pitt grabbed the first of his fine treble.
Nathan Simons then made it 3-0 before Pitt converted either side of Darren Steede?s goal to give Paget a commanding 6-0 lead at the half.
Stovell netted Paget?s sole second half goal while Dennis Musson converted X Roads? consolation three minutes from time.
St. George?s pulled off a stunning win over Wolves at the Den.
With their hosts looking to continue their steady ascent in the standings, the East Enders obviously had other thoughts as Kuma Smith put the visitors out front when he finished off some fine approach work by young Jahron Dickinson.
Wolves then dug themselves into a deeper hole when poor defensive work allowed Sinclair Gibbons to easily head home and provide St.George?s with a 2-0 cushion at the break.
Smith grabbed his second when play restarted as the East Enders continued to dictate the tempo before Dickinson put the match well and truly beyond Wolves? reach with a superb piece of finishing belying his tender years.
Meanwhile, Southampton Rangers edged by Social Club 3-2 at Southampton Oval while Hamilton Parish outscored Somerset Eagles 3-2 at Lords to celebrate their first win of the season.

Leaders St.David?s had a bye over the weekend.
