Michael Sims will take his fourth attempt at making a Canadian Tour cut today as he heads to the Diablo Grande California Classic.

Bermuda?s only pro, who has failed to make it to a Saturday so far this year in his debut on the stepping stone Tour, will tee off at 8.35a.m. local time on the Legends West Course in Patterson, California.

Sims will play with two other players yet to make the cut in the opening three events, Isaac Weintraub and Jerome Blais, and will be desperate to do well in the $100,000 event.

Sims? 73.33 stroke average over six rounds puts him 116th out of the 162 players to have played the Tour so far this campaign ? during which time he has sunk 17 birdies and a single eagle.
