Bermuda professional golfer Michael Sims finished in a four-way tie for 50th yesterday in the Telefonica Open in Guatemala.
Playing in his third successive South American Tour event, the 25-year-old closed at three-under at Hacienda Nueva Country Club with rounds of 69, 71, 72 and 73. Argentinian Daniel Vancsik (16-under) won the tournament by two shots from Marco Ruiz of Paraguay on the par-72 course.
Sims earned $322.50 to add to his winnings of $3,410 when he tied for seventh in the Costa Rica Open last week.
