Squash team eye CAC medal
Bermuda's squash team have an outstanding chance of grabbing a medal at the forthcoming Central American and Caribbean Games.
The event takes place in El Salvador next month and the Island's team of Nick Kyme, James Stout, Mel Caines and Richard Brewer have been seeded fourth behind El Salvador (three), Colombia (two) and Mexico (one).
With medals for the top four teams, the seeding has given the Island quartet a major boost as their preparations come to a climax.
"Based on that ranking we should be able to get into the semi-final which should secure a bronze medal for us," said Ross Triffitt, Bermuda's director of squash.
"Also with the recent good form of Nick and James there might be some opportunity for a medal in the doubles as well."
This is the first time that squash has been included in the Games.
"To compete at a major Games is very exciting for us," said Triffitt.
