St.George?s? win seals promotion

PHC avenged last summer?s Western Counties final round defeat to Willow Cuts at Police Field yesterday. Led by a fine all-round performance from Cal Waldron, PHC handed the West Enders a 35-run defeat.First Waldron topped his team?s batting with an unbeaten 66, and received good support from Kyle Lightbourne (40) and returning player/coach Andre (Doc) Manders (35 not out) as PHC rattled up 211 in their allotted overs.

First Waldron topped his team?s batting with an unbeaten 66, and received good support from Kyle Lightbourne (40) and returning player/coach Andre (Doc) Manders (35 not out) as PHC rattled up 211 in their allotted overs.

Sheroy Fubler persevered with the ball on a track that traditionally favours the batsmen and was rewarded for his efforts by claiming two for 42.

In reply, Cuts threatened but ultimately fell just shy of their winning objective, Reggie Tucker jr top scoring with 49 and Ryane Sheppard adding 25.

Neil Anglin?s three for 19 was the pick of the PHC bowling, while Waldron capped off a superb all-round display by claiming three wickets for 33 runs.
