Bermudians Colleen Nelson and Chris Smith will be competing in the US Masters Long Course Swimming Championships which begin on August 15 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Both swimmers have been training in Canada through most of the summer where they have had access to 50m (long course) pools. Both have been coached by Wes Musial, the coach of the Toronto Y masters team. They will swim with that team in Cleveland.
Nelson will focus on her favourite event, the breaststroke, and will also swim two freestyle events. Smith is in the 400m and 1500m free and 200m in the butterfly, back and breaststroke.
