Clyde Best youth tournament returns
Some of the Island's brightest future footballing prospects will take centre stage at the National Sports Centre (NSC) later this month when the second annual Clyde Best Invitational swings into action.
This year will see seven youth teams compete against Bermuda's various national youth teams in three age brackets February 16th and 17th at the NSC.
Visiting teams include the Olympic Development Programme teams from Rhode Island and Connecticut as well as a Westchester FC side from eastern Pennsylvania that will be bolstered by several guest players from US powerhouse FC Delco.
Bermuda will again be represented at the Under 13, 14 and 15 youth levels.
The tournament will comprise a total of 22 matches with all but one played at the NSC. Police Recreation Club will host an Under 13 match on the opening day of the two-day event.
Tournament organiser and Bermuda Football Foundation founding member Best said this year's youth spectacle promises to be even better than last year's inaugural event.
"We look forward to it because it's for the children to showcase their talents and we just hope the people will come out and support," he said.
