Rangers pay the penalty in nail-biter
Hamilton Parish 1 (4)
Southampton Rangers 1 (1)
Hamilton Parish prevailed over Southampton Rangers in a penalty shoot-out to lift the First Division Premier's Dudley Eve Champion's Cup at the National Sports Centre.
With the scores level at the end of normal-time the teams were forced to settle the issue from the dreaded penalty-spot with Hamilton Parish keeping their nerve.
The victors had Nigel Burgess to thank for keeping the scores at parity at half-time with the Bermuda international keeper saving a dangerous free-kick from Jahni Bean.
Jamie Smith opened the scoring on 47 minutes heading past keeper Gerald Simons from a Meshach Wade cross, and almost doubled his tally on 60 minutes but shot just wide.
But in the 67th minute Thomas Brown equalised for Southampton Rangers with a close range finish after Burgess had parried a Travis Wilkinson effort to send the game into a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.
