Trojans dash Blazers' Cup hopes

Somerset Trojans turned spoilers yesterday as their narrow win put paid to Blazers' Dudley Eve hopes at Somerset Cricket Club.
In a match the home side dominated throughout, skipper Jelani Scott's lone strike proved to be the difference as Trojans finally celebrated their first league win of the season.
But the final scoreline did the West Ender's scant justice as they should have blown their opponents clean off the pitch.
On numerous occasions Trojans squandered golden opportunities to increase their lead, with defender Marco Butterfield scuffing the easiest of chances minutes from the final whistle from close range.
But in the end, Scott's header from a Dion Stovell free-kick did the trick and provided his team-mates with a bit of consolation after being booted from the FA Cup in midweek for fielding an ineligible player in club president Richard Scott.
