All-Star schools' festival

Bermuda School Sports Federation’s All-Star games are set for next weekend with local company HWP investing some $6,000 in the event. The weekend is designed to showcase the best Bermuda has to offer in school sports with over 250 students and 25 coaches taking part in football and netball matches.

“The four boys’ and girls’ football matches on January 26 will be played at the National Sports Centre pitting the best players from the western schools against the best players from eastern schools at the primary, middle and senior school levels,” said BSSF administrator Emmanuel Faria. “This year, two coaches from US colleges, Bret Boulware, of Presbyterian College, and Doug Allison, of Furman University, will be attending the All-Star matches to scout for local talent.”

Three netball matches are slated for January 27.
