Rival fans clashed at Devonshire Rec., causing yesterday's match between Wolves and Paget to be abandoned 12 minutes from time.

In fear of the violence escalating and looking out for the safety of players and fans, young referee Antoine Augustus brought off the players after 78 minutes.

Before the disturbance, which needed the intervention of Police, Wolves were coasting towards an emphatic victory in this First Division clash.

The Bermuda Football Association revealed that they will be looking into the matter immediately and refused to comment further until the referee's report was handed in and a full investigation had concluded.

Until the ugly scenes developed it was virtually a one-man show with Dane Simmons, the top goal scorer in the league this season, playing the feature role by slamming four of Wolves' goals. The other two were netted by forward Jared Peniston.
