ROAD RUNNING RUN Ongoing road works under way along the South Shore have derailed plans for this year's Evian 10-Mile Road Race, scheduled for March 27.
Bruce Barritt, spokesman for the soft drink company, John Barritt and Son Limited, which sponsors the event, announced news of the cancellation in a press release yesterday, saying: "Evian Spring Water is the premium standard for bottled water and we could not authorise sponsorship of an event that would not be of comparable quality.''
