Amateurs arrive for million-dollar play-off
foot putt at the end of next Tuesday's Gillette Tour Championship Challenge, much more will be at stake a day earlier for five amateur golfers from the US.
The American quintet have already been rewarded for putting play-off victories at various venues around the US with a trip to Bermuda, courtesy of Gillette.
But the ante will be upped considerably when they meet each other on the first green at Castle Harbour at 1.00 p.m. on Monday.
Whoever emerges victorious from this final play-off will be given the opportunity to take one 10 foot putt for a million dollar jackpot.
That putt will be taken -- and shown live on TV during ABC's tape-delay coverage of the Gillette Challenge -- on November 30.
Meanwhile, Monday's play-off will see the five golfers line up 10 seven-foot putts with the winner being decided by he who sinks the most.
