World Cup, uncertainty still surrounds the future role of technical director Clyde Best whose contract will not be renewed by Bermuda Football Association when it expires at the end of this month.

In fact, the BFA have still not confirmed whether or not Best will be retained in any capacity.

Bermuda enter this Sunday's second leg with a 5-1 lead, and are practically guaranteed of a second round home-and-away tie against Antigua, the first match of which is scheduled for April 2 -- two days after Best ends his tenure.

Questioned about Best's future this week, BFA president Neville Tyrrell said: "No decision has been made about Mr. Best, that's all I am able to say about the matter right now.'' It was just days before Christmas that the former West Ham star was told of the BFA's decision not to renew his contract.

Since then the BFA have been reluctant to discuss their reasons for that decision, indicating in a statement that it was made following a unanimous decision by the coaching committee and later supported by the executive committee.

However, the BFA later came to an apparent agreement with Best that he was to continue working with the senior and Olympic squads, although not as technical director.

Meanwhile, the BFA have admitted they were concerned about Kentoine Jennings getting his marching orders during the first leg BVI clash, but are unlikely to take any disciplinary action against the centreback.

"Our feeling is that Kentoine will automatically have to miss one game anyway, prior to his availability for the next round,'' said Tyrrell. "I would like to think that somebody would have a word with him about his conduct, certainly the coaches will have to talk to him.'' Tyrrell also said he was disappointed about not having English professionals Shaun Goater and Kyle Lightbourne brought back for the home tie, but hoped the public would still turn out and support the national team.

"We've shown how we can rally behind our national team in the past, now the BFA are calling on the public to join hands and come out and give them the solid support they require to win again on Sunday.''
