helping Springfield College to its best ever season, as the Massachusetts institution finished national runner-up in Division III.

A junior, majoring in sports management, Black received numerous weekly awards, and was also presented with a certificate of achievement by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, during a gala banquet attended by some 300 players, coaches, parents and association members in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Included among her other honours, were selection to the AstroTurf/NFHCA Division III All-America First Team, AstroTurf/NFHCA Division III New England East Region All-America First Team, NCAA Division III All-Tournament Team, Springfield Invitational All-Tournament team, as well as once being named NEWMAC Player of the Week.

Black is the daughter of Bill and Susan Black of Paget.
