Bottom clubs bid for upset

in that both fixtures involve the leaders of the First and Second Division battling against the respective bottom teams.

Vasco, who are at the head of the First Division, will be entertained by Devonshire Cougars at 9.00 o'clock while the earlier 7.00 p.m. match sees Second Division leaders Wolves go against Social Club.

While the games may look one-sided on paper, both underdogs are coming off decent performances in their last outings and could put their opponents under some pressure.

After three one-sided results, and the loss of their coach Josef Gooden two weeks ago, Cougars rebounded last Saturday with a respectable 1-0 loss to champions Devonshire Colts.

Cougars showed in that performance that they are no longer pushovers and with a little more bite in their attack -- Phillip Clarke may start after coming on as a substitute against Colts -- they have the ability to steal a point from Vasco.

The Portuguese club are coming off a polished performance on Sunday when they beat Somerset Trojans 2-0 to take sole possession of first place.

In the early match Wolves have to be watchful against Social Club who on Sunday showed that they are better than their last place spot indicates by holding promotion favourites Hamilton Parish to a scoreless draw.

Wolves. meanwhile, had a tough 3-1 win over St. George's who played with a man short after losing a player midway through the first half.
