Mini Bikes -- a stepping stone for young riders which has shown a tremendous jump in numbers since last season -- provided much of the excitement.
However, despite the youthful members, it was an old boy, Shannon Caisey, leading the way with three first place finishes and a second for a total of 118 points. Joining Caisey on the podium were the Tumbridge brothers, Jonathan and Joshua, with the former second overall (110) and the latter third (102).
Scooters appear to be the most unreliable machine, as, while eight showed up in the morning, only three made it to the start line for each heat. Benelli swept the day as Ricky Perriers (114) was outstanding in his handling, outduelling team-mate Mark Lightbourn (112), with Norman Smith (58) a distant third on his Piaggio Zip.
Dennis Wilson swept to victory in the Stock Modified class, accumulating 116 points, followed by Kyle Pimental (104) and Lavince Ellis (94).
Sweeping the board in Formula was Vince Belboda, while Ray Masters dominated the Grand Prix section, followed by Caisey and Jassone Smith.
