In the first of the tournament's finals to be played over the weekend at Pomander Gate, Wilson knows she can expect a tough battle against the teenager who has shown her mettle this week.
As well as reaching this evening's final, scheduled to start at 6.30, DeSilva has enjoyed a run to the semi-finals of the Ladies Open, where last night she played fellow teenager and Bermuda Federation Cup player, Danielle Paynter.
The mixed doubles final will also be held tonight, at 7.30, with Ricky Mallory, teamed up for the first time with 18-year-old Tara Lambert, to meet the winner of last night's semi-final clash, Mark Cordeiro and Jill Finnigan against Eldon Daniels and Donna Bradshaw.
Both Mallory and Finnigan could play in three finals this weekend. Last night Mallory was playing a Men's A quarter-final against John Johnston, for the right to play Jenson Bascome in the semi-finals today at 5.00 p.m.
Defending champion James Collieson made it through to the final yesterday with a rapid 6-0, 6-1 dismissal of Brian Way.
In the men's doubles, Mallory teamed up with Davis Cup team-mate Bascome, and last night played in the semi-final.
Finnigan, with partner Kelly Holland, has already reached the final of the ladies doubles and she was last night playing her Ladies Open semi-final against Julie Lunn. Finnigan is seeded one in all three events she entered.
